if i add the aero package, will the front bumper/spoiler be lower to the ground than the standard bumper? in other words, will I have to be more careful at parking curbs?

Yes. I think it's lower by about 1-1.5"

It is MUCH lower.

You must be very careful going in and out of driveways with the M-Tech kit. I have scraped bottom many times.

And you can't pull all the way into parking spaces that have those cement blocks in front.

thanks. any alternatives? the package looks great. not necessary, but was going to order it from the vpc. but if it is like the OLD E39, it is very low, and will rub, scrape and get caught many times.

I think it is lower...it sure seems low. As others have mentioned you have to be very careful. But it looks so distinctive. I am scared to death to let anyone drive my car for fear that they will crash the bumper into the curb.

In fact, with the aero kit, comfort access, and active steering, I feel like I have to give a driving course to anyone that may get behind the wheel. I don't even want my wife to drive the car.

Andy, comfort access is great. I have had no problems with it. I love never having to fool with my keys and I would get it again.

Good luck with your order.

The only problem with comfort access is you get so used to it that when you drive another car you tend to leave your keys in your pocket when you get in the vehicle. I love it as I always have a coffee mug and something else in my hands when I get in my car in the morning.

with PDC, do you think it picks up the lower bumper and helps avoid those curbs, or not really? did any of you have an E39 with sports, and if so, how does it compare, height wise?
