Hi All,

I have a set of Radenergie RS10's and for the rear tire, its 20x10, with 275/30/20 Falken 452 tire. I have not mounted it to my car yet and was a little concerned about something.

The wheel is sticking out a little bit on both ends of the tire and i'm worried that once i mount it, it'll be no protection on the wheels. My car also has Koni Sport shocks and Eiback Pro Kit (I have a non sport 530i). I also rolled my fenders.

Does everyone think I should put 285/30/20 for the rear? If you do think that, will that rub on my fenders?

Or should I keep it on 275/30/20 for the rear?

Keep in mind that you can see both inner and outer lips of the 20x10 rear wheels coming out a bit on both sides of the tire.

Please give feedback guys!!

i think u should keep 275/30... anything wider than 275 you should go with 25mm profile.
But again, it all depends on the offset of the wheels. I have 20X9 20X10 HRE wheels with the right offset on 295.25 / 255/30 and they dont rub at all and i also have maya 20x10.5 20X9 with more aggresive offset on 275.30 and 245/35 and they rub like crazy...

Mike,
Look on the inside of the wheels and let us know the offsets for both front and rear. It should be 19mm or higher. The higher, the better. BTW, pics of the tires on the wheels would help.

i think the ideal offset for a non M E60 should be in the low or mid 20's. my maya's are +17 rear and +11 front. Thats why they rub so bad... Also, i dont know about radenergie but iforged and hre's dont give out the offset information

Thanks! I've been looking for this info for the longest time.
Given that my offsets are 20 fronts / 25 rears, would it be possible to run 255/30/20 fronts and 295/25/20 rears?

So here are the pics of the wheels, with the wheel sticking out of the rear.

The specs are, 275/30/20 Falken 452 tires, with a 20x10 rim.

Its a little odd how it sticks out so much huh?

Check it out.

dont worry I do not think you will rub at all!! I have 285/25/20 on the rear with H&R race springs and no rubbing, with 245/30/20 in the front

well but you just used H&R to lower it and depends on how much he lowered too. and offset.. he is using 20x10 which is pretty larger. You might use 20x9.5

There is a slight possibility that might rub. honestly since you live in NYC it might be good idea to roll up the fender..(pot holes uneven roads) Better to be safe. It might save your money later.

You shouldve got Nitto Nt555. It handles better and love them...

Mike,
You should have gotten 285/25/20 or 285/30/20 with the Falken. I'm not sure if you are aware of this but tire manufacturers have different ways of measuring the width of the tires. For example, when you compare Toyo T1Rs 275/30/20 and Falken 285/25/20 they have the same width dimensions.

Toyo measures the width from where the tire tread comes into contact with the road. They do not measure from the sidewalls. On the other hand, Falken measures their FK452 from sidewall to sidewall.

Except for offset of the RS10, my R10s are identical to your wheel dimensions: 20x10, but I wrapped them with 285/25/20 thus I do have some wheel protection.
