Thumbs up

I am thinking about pcikin up a 525i and dropping an H & R sport kit and some 20's on it. What I was wondering is if I have to get two different sizes of rims for the front and rear? The stock 525i comes with the same size all way around (17x7.5), and was wondering if it is possible to just put 20x8.5 or 9's all the way around? Would it look wierd from the back or would the rears not be wide enough to fill the rear fenders? And if so, should I just get the same all the way round and just put bigger tires on the back? Thanks for the help, I am a newb so be kind! lol

P.S. Looking through other posts I seem to have found a bit of question in regards to the tire size for a 20" rim, Tirerack says go with 30 height, and some on this board go 35 on the front, so just curious what is "technically" correct for the rolling diameter for F/R

Depends -- on things like offset, deep-dish design, etc. So, for example, if the offsets of your chosen 20" are too aggressive you'll have rubbing issues up front. Instead of a staggered setup, could use spacers (just make sure to go hubcentric).

Contact Jim at TireRack with your fitment questions (jim@tirerack.com)

Hey man I don;t knwo exactly the numbers but I am running a staggerd setup actully I think most of the guys on here with after market wheels are. you should have no problem doin so.. what wheels are you looking at because the offset will also make a difference on how wide you can get those widths

I am thinking about the DTM Kruez's. What is the right offset? and least aggressive wheel offset.

Since the back can handle a much wider tire and requires a different offset from the front, staggering will allow you to optimize the front and the back for the best look and fit.
