Guys, i need to choose. Any ideas on performance differences, quality and reliability of the car afterwards?
That is regardless of location.

DMS is 334HP & 620NM while Wetterauer is 350HP and 680NM - does this mean Wett. will do faster that 5.5secs to 60 (which the dms does)

what who you guys choose - assuming location is not an issue?

As far as I know, DMS delivers 685 NM and not only 620 (for the 535d).

Aldi what you need? Decide on that, you can even get almost 400 but for what???

Secondly I did it here not to travel and I get the same as elsewhere. BUT the reliability was an issue for me, you saw mine did once on the dyno 310hp, but I do not really care, enough is enough you can run many kms w/o sleeping but for what?

So I wud call all of them, and decide on budget, and what they offer as service and after service and performance concerned. Yes Heinz gives you 320hp w warr. and outside 350hp and over 700-760 Nm call him and ask ...BUt he has many customers from Germany and UK, mainly NL and here, but you never see him in adds like Wetterrauer or DMS, he does not need that ( 20 yrs of tuning experience and active motorsporting that is what counts for me), same w HAMANN, I do not care that they are "trendy", for me it is the respect of heritage and knowledge, not only top speeds and drag times...

ps. bhp is always less than hp!!!

Hmmm i visited Heinz and they seem to offer a 320bhp remap and an optional one 340bhp. No 350 and 700+Nm.

I would go for whoever gets the biggest numbers, offers the best warranty, and the last place is the cheapest. Till now wetterauer seems the best alternative. I'm not gaining to much for torque, but more i'd like hp gains. Torque is alredy at a high level. If i could squeeze 360bhp and 650 (tops) NM that would be perfect.
And to speak of reliability come on ppl a tuned car is a tuned car, and if shit happens and a turbo gets cracked or i dunno, it may happend at 320 or at 350bhp level of tuning. Of course the long term long life of the engine is reduced by the bigger numbers but come on...instead of 150 000km the components will last 135000 km...if you know what i mean! And also i'd like to point that it matters how do you drive your car, cuz imo if you track it very often, lets say, then the chances of smth bad to happen increase exponentially. If you give it the bees only once a week or so, at a drag race or on the freeway or whatever, then the reliability gap between the level of tuning is minimal.

IMO go for the biggest numbers and for the biggest stats as long as theu give a good warranty.
Cheers!

Hi amigo, please read post 22 and 23 I mentioned that even for "older" 530d theymentioned less but read please their page that is a reference, each car is different no matter if same specs, like each person, car's got souls you know!!! http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=27814&st=15 please read and call it always depend on what the customer wants and willng to get!!! But they do things which does NOT wear the engine edit: does not matter on the freeway, I am not sure about the track either ask Steve he is every moths taking the 350hp on the Nring. IMO torque is more than hp, you use that for drag and take off.

I think the reputation of the company is more important than just maximum HP/TQ gain!
