Does anybody know when the Dinan Stage 2 will be available for MSD v81.0 535i? I thought it was supposed to be ready a couple of weeks ago.
I can't get Dinan to return my calls.
Good performance increase, though maybe not as much as I expected either.

Yeah I thought so too, I think the on the 135's they are already selling the new software.

I have scheduled to take the 535i in on Wednesday, August 20, for the Dinan Stage 2 install. Dealership will provide a loan car while the ecu is overnighted to Dinan, flashed and returned to Dallas.
I would have had the car dynoed before the stage 2 install, but I have less than 500 miles on the car. I will dyno the car after 1,200 miles.

Congrats Frank!
I think everyone who has a X35 car should jump on the Dinan mods; or any of the other mods available for this engine. Relatively low cost of a huge improvement in poiwer. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Its all about the new BMS JB3. Adds 80hp and 80tq, completely invisible to the new ECU and software. $779 for the plug and play JB3, easily removeable in 15-20 mins for service visits.

Did you all have the Aux or High cap Oil cooler? If so when was your car produced and is it a sport or IX?
Just a note :
I saw last night that BMW and Dinan have had a bit of a falling out ( E90post.com in the turbo section). BMW is now saying that any BMW that gets the Dinan flashes after Sept. 7 of this year , will not be eligible for CPO. Not that this would matter to 9/10 of us but some of the 135 owners are having issues after the flash with the HPFP cutting out at 125-135mph...
It seems to just be the 135's, no or not many instances of Issues with 335's or 535's...
On another note any one with the 535i had the 29.2 software update and having lag issues.... Seems to be a big issue now in the 335's and I have yet to see any one here complain about it.

I did not have anything special installed related to the oil cooler. Just whatever comes with an M-Sport 535 non XI. My build was Sep 07, I am not sure what software version that relates to.
As I live with the car more since the upgrade I am noticing/appreciating the power more. I am not sure if there is a bit of a learning curve with the engine control software but it seems more powerful than it did 2 weeks ago. Really have considerable jump from 50-100km at 1/2-3/4 throttle. I am sure that the lasting impact of this upgrade will be on my brakes. I am really glad that I bought unlimited brake jobs for the first 3 years. I will be using them.

Call Dinan, they are doing the new version of the software on the E8X's ... they should have it for the E60's
