Hello. I'm new to the forum. I just purchase an 04 CPO 545I. Man, what a car. It's my second 5ver. I had a 99 528 which was a fine automobile, but doesn't hold a candle to the E60. I'd like to put a Dinan exhaust on my car. Anyone have this mod? Dealer gave me a ball park quote of $1,700.00-$1,900.00

I don't think it's available for the E60 yet--Dinan is supposed to call me when it is--I spoke to them around a month ago and it wasn't ready then.

Congrats on your purchase!! I just called Dinan two days ago and they said the only performance mods available for the e60 so far are the throttle body and lightened flywheel. They said they would notify me when more products come out so I don't believe the exhaust is here yet. I've heard others on this forum say end of Sep or end of the year.

As for pricing...I'm not sure but exhaust systems for the e39 540 listed for about $1000 so I was hoping the e60 exhaust would be close to that price range.

You know, I looked at thier web site and didn't see anything for the E60 other than the throttle body and I just thought the web site wasn't up to date. Guess not. Any other suggestions for a quality exhaust or should I hold out for the Dinan?

SO far the DINAN exhaust is coming at the years end we hope. Pricing will be ACS at the top then DINAN then B&B or Remus or Eisermann...But my guy stated it would be cheaper then the 1500.00 price tag on the ACS....These cars have been out for a year and dinan is still in development on parts for the e60. So i hope they introduce a few new products at one time....

Tks for the info. I'm not looking to do it unitl after the holidays so I'll just hold out for the Dinan most likely.

DINAN has always neen my first choice, but the ACS Exhaust IMO looks alot better and with the same performance increase as the DINAN.

More Dinan after-market parts supposed to be available at the end of Sept.--cold air intake, exhaust. maybe MAF, and maybe programming. Check the parts, mods, etc., forum. There are some recent threads about B&B exhausts and the issue of whether mods will void warranites.

IMO, go with the ACS if you're willing to drop that kind of coin. I've had mine for almost a week and the note suits the car perfectly - a sophisticated note with V8 growl, and the ability to have a quiet bluetooth phone call at 90+ mph.
