Dinan coming to Austin

My Ride: 2008 550i
Dinan is coming to the Dealership this Wed for a presentation and answer session. (The Dealer is an authorized Dinan Dealer). Supposedly Steve Dinan himself is going to be there. I know many people bash Dinan, but I am looking forward to hearing what they have to say, especially as a previous Dinan purchaser.
As an aside, there is an ex-Longhorn, now NFL running back that lives in Austin and owns 5-6 BMW's. Today, I was at the dealer and on the back of a flat bed truck, I saw his beautiful M5 pulling into the dealership. I am guessing he is bringing it up for the show. As far as I know, it has the Dinan High Performance 5.7L engine (and I am sure all the engine parts that go with...intake, throttle bodies, etc), Dinan wheels, brembo brakes, Exhaust, Vorsteiner E60 M5 Ventilation Hood, carbon fiber trunk lid, and I am sure many more. Anyway, need I say beautiful car.
I know Dinan is offering a 15% rebate and the dealer is giving 10% off parts but will probably only look this go around.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
Dinan only gets bashed for price. Give us a followup post.

Dinan gets bashed a lot or used to on the M5board mainly for their offerings for the latest V10 M engines; especially for their throttle bodies. That's because several members have had issues with the TBs. There also used to be a bunch of threads about how their differential caused a lot of whining noises.
That said, seems like the complaints have all went away after member Darren_Dallas and SBM6 posted videos and vbox results of their Dinan stroker M5 and M6 respectively. Those cars are freakin fast. I should know, I ran against Darren's car when he few out here to pick up his beast and he put about 8-10 car lengths on me.
If you do meet the football player, ask him to join M5board to give us more reviews although that might be a long shot. haha

The Dinan 15% rebate is through the end of the month. I don't know about the dealer 10%. If your serious and want to come up, I could find out.
