The Dinan intake is cool, but not worth the money. I do believe it gained some HP/TQ, but with the scoops it does definately help. We don't have any dyno numbers on the Dinan intake/RPI scoops.
Now I really want that second scoop to come in !!!!
I'll have the Dinan CAI, with the scoops and exaust.

I have this set up as well. The pull increased greatly with the addition of the scoop and I think the engine sound became more muscular as well.

Benefits of RPI scoop and BMC filter are probably great enough on their own though. My car came with the Dinan upgrades so I really have no basis for comparison other that my 545 sounds alot cooler than my friends 550 with no Dinan and no RPI. AND, the two scoops look pretty cool too.

Me too. I started off with the Dinan intake and then added the scoops at a later date. I definitely felt a difference with the intake, even before adding the scoops. The scoops are absolutely sweet at 70+ mph...a marked difference from just the Dinan intake.

I would love to get the Dinan intake and RPI for the power to make up for the quad exhaust.

At most you might get 5hp, if any, and for $800 its definately not worth the money IMHO....

Have you had before and after dynos to prove yourself?
One aftermarket company that can be trusted is Dinan.
If the real gain is 5hp while they advertised for a gain of 18hp then
it's just as horrible/false advertisement as AFE CAI. But I don't see any claims of
Dinan being a liar. What they claim is very legit, however it comes with big price.

I'm not arguing for "not worth the money" part as each person has different perspective, but
DInan does deliver what they claimed.

It most definitely increases hp by significantly more than 5. Dinan is an established company who BMW stands embraces, I highly doubt they would be less than truthful when coming to advertising

I have the Dinan package and I'll say this, my iDrive is currently being re-programmed at SC BMW in San Jose which means I have to go back to Dinan for them to re-program my Stage 2 - for free! Gotta love their service and commitment to their customers - it's only a 10 minute drive to Dinan. I do plan to add on the RPI scoops soon, I figure it couldn't hurt...
