After fooling around with minor cosmetic upgrades, I have now decided jump into the mod pool with both feet. I purchased the 535 knowing that tuner chips/remaps would be available soon. I decided to go with the Dinan option as opposed to the other viable choices because I am wiling to pay a premium to take it to my dealer and have them do the installation. To me the benefit of having a large dealership that I have a relationship with, be available to me in case of problems is worth the additional cost and possible performance difference.
I have decided to go with the Stage 2 Performance Engine Software/Boost Upgrade. According to the Dinan website the upgrade is good for 384 horsepower and 421 lb-ft of torque. I know that the BMW stated 300 and 300 is probably a little light but an increase of over 20% in HP and 35% in torque should be noticeable. And not just in the seat of my pants. My appointment is set for July 31 where I will get my first oil change at 21,000km then they will progam the ECU which takes about 5 hours. They expect to have the car overnight and into the next day because they plan on having to do a fair bit of diagnostic/troubleshooting. I understand that in some previous installations they have received some trouble messages. Hopefully, I will have the car back for the weekend.
I have to admit I am looking forward to this modification as if I am getting a new car. My wife already describes the car as a rocket. I am hoping for missile status.

Indeed.
Before and after dino run.
I have done the Dinan CAI, Stage I and II software upgrades and didn't have a baseline for my 545i.
I have heard that some guys LOST HP's after doing the upgrades.
I have not had this issue. But I can't back this statement up with a print out of some pulls.
If my ass could talk, it would tell you for sure my car pulls way more then it did before the mods.
Good luck and let us know how this works out.

I've had the Dinan Stage II flash in my 535 now for roughly 3 months and it's awesome. I was previously in a 545, and this car blows it away.
You're gonna love it. Let us know what you think after you get it installed.
