I would have them leave the emblem off. Take it home with you and play around with the placement, tape them on with scotch tape or something, take some pictures and then make a decision. I kind of like the idea of just the Dinan badge on the right. maybe.

Replace the 545 badge with the Dinan 5 badge. You don't want the car to say "Dinan 5" on one side and "545i" on the other side. Seems redundant. The only Dinan cars I've seen that kept the factory badging are the ///M cars. On the right, it'll say Dinan and on the left, it'll say ///M5. Makes more sense that way and that's why they have different badges for different cars.

Here's a pic of my old Dinan-equipped 545 below.

I like it. I get crap from my buddies for my plate on the Rover, which is DRANGED. My E36 M3 plate was DM3NTED. I still waiting for a guy with an Audi here in MN to relinquish UMLAUT.

Some people don't like personalized plates. I don't like some people.

Nice to see a local guy on the forum. I have IH8-2W8 on my e60 and although it's fitting, it's not terribly clever.

Okay, clue me in on UMLAUT. I'm drawing a blank.

UMLAUT, a mark (?) used as a diacritic over a vowel, as ?, ?, ?, to indicate a vowel sound different from that of the letter without the diacritic, esp. as so used in German.

More badges the better. keep them both. Put the Dinan badge above the 545 badge and put a V8 badge on the left so they definitely know what you're driving.
Hahaha

If you really want to put it on, I'd vote for the right side and
remove the 545i. We've got a bigger brother now, 550i.
