DIfference between M5 mirrors pre-lci and LCI
 

Hello,

as the title states, does anyone know the major differences in the LCI m5 mirrors and the pre-LCI m5 mirrors?

As far as I'm concerned, the pre-lci still comes with puddle lights, auto-folding and auto-dim.

There is no difference. Now, there is a difference between the pre and post 9/05 mirrors. That difference is wiring tho. Whether or not the mirrors come with all options is independent of production year

I just wanted to post a picture for fun.

I am considering plasti-dipping the bottom side cover hyper-black/silver. Normally people like to carbon fiber that piece. I wonder if someone could photoshop how that would look on a dark car.

Hahaha, ok. I got that feeling that it was something so obviously different that I just wasn't seeing it.

To get an idea about the mirrors head over to M5board and see what they have done with theirs.

this is the only picture I was able to find which is something close to what I'm talking about. I would prefer a darker color though.

Where can a pair of these???:o

I'm looking for a pair of the m5 mirrors that will work on my 07 550i... I also want the auto fold, puddle and dim type. I saw a window and mirror controller on ebay with the auto fold button. Is this plug and play or will it need coding

MY09+ M5s got a different mirror shape than MY06-08 (they were taller and less attractive IMO). Here is a shot of the Model Year 2009+ mirrors:
