Is there any diagnostics to check if my car is still running my stage 1 Dinan software? I have my sticker in the car, but I did have some heavy service performed recently at a BMW dealer that is not Dinan authorized? The accelerator doesn't feel as sensitive? Is there a way of checking this in i-drive? I suppose I could insist that my local dealer (who is Dinan authorized) check the software when I am in next? But I'd love the piece of mind in doing it myself.
Is this possible?

You can't check this yourself. Unless you had your PROGMAN updated your DINAN should still be inside the ECU, if however during the service your dealer upgraded your software then its gone.

Bruce is right on the nose. A Dinan dealer should be able to hook up diagnostics to verify if the program is still there. Regardless, reflashes are supposed to be free. But if you really want to find out, stay in 1st gear and see if the rev limiter cuts in at 6500. If so, it's obvious the program is gone. Or if you have the courage, a test run past 155 mph should definitely confirm it. I suggest the former.
