Dension Install -- No CD1-CD6

My Ride: 2004 545i
I installed my GW 500 this weekend and it is not functioning.
The LED blinks when I am in GW mode and solid when I am in CD Changer mode. When I am in CD changer mode, the CD changer functions correctly. When I move the switch to Gateway mode, the iDrive screen doesn' allow CD1-CD6 to be selected.
Has anybody else had this error and how was it fixed? I think everything is hooked up right as the changer works fine in when it is selected. I have the DIP switches correct too, 1+2 up 3-6 down.

Try installing the gateway without the CD changer, to see if it works that way. If it does you probably have one of the optical leads the wrong way around into the CD changer, without the CD Changer its a straight swap. As for gateway they never aswered my question I sent them either, so they are oblivously not bothered about customers once they have sold there equipment.

I actually got an email answer from Dension this morning...
Turns out my dealer never enabled the MP3 update. I have a work order saying they did, but MP3 discs don't work. I have to go back and have that turned on.
