I'm amazed you got an AVR at all, nowhere in the UK seems to have them.
I understand that in order for this to work (ie for the in car computer that controls this stuff to accept the AVR video signal and display it) the E60 must also have TV enabled, in other words you would be able to watch TV in your E60 without the iPOD. Do you have this?
Does someone else have an AVR and can confirm/deny this requirement?
I'm also interested in the dension 500 and AVR for my E61.
Where did you get your AVR?

Here in Spain there is no problem to get the AVR,if you need one i can buy one for you,the price is about 120€.
About the OEM TV,my car have it before installed the Dension and the AVR,it was working perfectly;when i installed the Dension 500 works properly too...the trouble comes when we installed de AVR,then the OEM TV lost the video (only hear audio) and the ipod don?t reproduce the videos but they are in the 8,8 display, but only with sound...i think maybe is a reprogramation issue...this week i think it would we solved but i am traying to know if there is anybody with the same problem.

My Ride: 2004 545i titanium grey 6 speed manual with light grey interior. Nav, L7, cold weather, sport, sat. Modifications: suede headliner, pianno black interior trim, Ipod dock, Mtech front bumper, Angel Eyes, and flat black kidney grills.
Can you post a picture of the AVR and the cables for the AVR? The Dension website shows the video input and output to be rca type connectors. I do not see how this could work without using the LVDS type 10 pin video connector that is used for the stock display screen. By the way, did you know there is a software program specifically for the Dension 500 with AVR. I saw it in the CIP retrofit section the other day.
