It's your car, so do whatever you want with it. Don't let other people affect your decision. And I believe in the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy, i.e., if you don't want to hear shit from people, then don't tell them about it. Obviously, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.

Hey, I say, do what you want, IMHO it has something to do with posing..
You put on an M badge with or without 5 - posing
you put the whole M5 package including rear bumper, side fender grills, front m-bumper, M5 mirrors and so on on your car - poser
just my 2 cents..
I don't want to accuse anybody, but it's like driving around with a lambo repro made out of a honda..you make think other you drive an M5..or lambo in this case

I guess I'm poser in your book, since I have 90% of the stuff from your list.

ok, now we understand each other..
I think I'm a little influenced by the tuning guys here in germany. They esagerate a lot with their wannabe tuned up Vdubs and Mercs..
So I think I'm a little delicate in such things..
have a nice weekend everybody

I kinda like the M badge on the grill
I don't think I would put one on the rear though, and no M5 emblems

I think the M badge is Like the S-line badges on Audi's...No, it is not an S4, but has goodies from the OEM S-line..
I got an M-Tech bumper kit for example, so the M badge clarifies that...I agree that an M5 badge is a nono...same a putting a 530 badge on a 520 for example

Truth is stock 5 series front bumper is ugly as balls, if someone upgrades to mtech or m5 body kit then its gonna look better. Theres no shame in doing that, it improves the appearance of the vehicle. On the other hand putting on an M5 logo on a non M5 is just claiming something that its not. How can you compare a bodykit which improves the entire vehicle appearance with an M5 logo, its two different things. I'm against putting a M5 logo on a non M5 car and thats just my 2 cents.
