Exclamation

Tomorrow I'll call and ask them ... But now I would like to hear you opinion, dear E60 members!

Hypothesize I would like to buy the kit for having the fastest car in the world (I would start from about 400 HP : with the kit sold* for 470 HP I would have more than 500 HP) .

In my country it's illegal to install turbo/supercharger on the car registered aspirated .

In case of heavy accident or emergency or warranty, could the dealer restore the engine to factory state ?

With the experience acquired with Mini CooperS and John Cooper Works imho they could .

Thank you, bye!

Did VF have released it or not yet ?

No. Not a word from VFE. In my last conversation with VFE, they did say 2nd quarter of 2007. It is 2nd quarter now. I'm going to talk with hollywoodtrash tonight. He knows one of the guys at VFE.

Possibly, depending on how the kit is engineered. If everything bolts in place then it would probably be a 20 hour job. But if there is any brackets that get welded on this maybe come a one way ticket, unless you plan on spending for an additional 10-15 labor hours to remove, repair and re-attach welded spots.
Dont forget to put the stock engine software back in once the blower comes off

The Mini S already comes from the factory with a S/C, so the dealer just replaces the blower/pulleys and I think manifold, but not sure about the last one. This setup is wwwaaayyyy different then adding and removing a S/C kit on a naturally aspirated engine.

Just my 1 cent

I do not understand what you are saying^^^what model E60 has 400hp?
545i with serious quad exhaust, catalyst, headers, map etc. : "about", I said .

VFE says :

"8-9 Hours fitting time, fully reversible"
