has anyone had the experience in ordering a new e-60 and specify the style of wheels you want from the factory. my dealer is trying to charge me double. my new e-60 that iam ordering has a sport package with style 123 wheels the retail is 3715.00 the wheels iam requesting are style 128 which cost is 4000.00. i offered to pay the difference but they said the car can only be ordered with the 123 wheels that come with the sport package. has anybody been able to specify the wheels at delievery. the dealer wants to give me a refund of 1000.00 for my 3715.00 style 123 wheels and then charge me another 4000.00 for my new style 128 wheels any input would be appreciated.thanks

I had/have the same problem. The advice I've been given, which makes sense, is to sell the 123 wheels separately as the dealer won't give you nearly what you could sell by yourself.

Then you'll just have to buy the wheels you want and swap them out when your car is delivered. I'm shocked BMW doesn't give you options in this area as many of us like to customize our cars this way.

My car is not here yet but that is what I am planning to do.

Same here.
For example if you order MSports pack (which comes with 135 rims) but you want some other rims you will pay the full price of the sports pack plus the other wheels.

Of course you end up with 2 sets of wheels!

so if you order the 128's...do u get both the 123's AND the 128's since they are charging you full price for the wheels?

your best bet...get whatever stock wheels come with it. once u get them put them up for sale here on e60.net, and buy a set of 128's from either here or some other place.

Yes, your dealer is doing this because you can't get those wheels from the factory, so they're likely planning on reselling the wheels themselves, and just getting the new wheels for you as standard service parts. (Actually, a $1000 credit for Style 123 isn't bad, even though you see them as "worth" 3715.00. A few sets of Style 123 have sold here for $1000, and the most you'll probably get, unless you find someone who doesn't know they can get them for cheaper, is $1500...this is because wheels that are usually more "desirable" to people, such as Style 124 if people are upgrading, sell for as low as $1000 to $1500. On the other hand, you may indeed be able to find someone who will give you $2000...but depending on your location, they might not be local and then you have to deal with shipping, etc.)

The only wheels you can get from the factory are the ones that are listed on the option sheets and online configurators for your particular model of E60. That's it. If they're not there, they *cannot* be specified from the factory and must be ordered separately as parts. So whether you want to keep your Style 123, try to sell them yourself, or take the $1000 credit is up to you - but what your dealer is telling you is correct.
