What bulb is required to achieve the updated look of the New/LCI headlight, not bright white/blue/etc. just the main light and outer ring of the other on ?? Is this a simple plug and play bulb for pre 08s or something different?

Cheers

it is something different. the '08 lci headlights are designed differently than pre-lci.
that means you have to buy new lci headlights + unexpected things.
i haven't heard anything about the retrofit kit yet from the dealers.

Apparently the LCI headlights don't fit pre LCIs. There must be some kind of conversion kit ??

the lci headlight physically fits into pre-lci car. a member had it fit in exactly. there is a big issue with the plug not being plug and play; it has different pins pattern. i'm not sure if bmw will have a retrofit kit out or how soon if they do make a kit for it.

The thing I really would like is to get the ring on the outside light to work when the DTR's are on .
I know someone will figure this out .I don't want the entire light assembly, even though the Euro look is cool........ Any One ??

They look virtually identical but when the runnung lights are on the outside lights have the ring glowing around them .

Yeah, they are about as bright as angel eyes can get. This is what angel eyes should look like in general, even straight from the dealer. Even our aftermarket AIB's aren't this bright.

I'm really not following.. on my pre-LCI when I had my DTR's on and the angel eyes on both would light up..what exactly are you looking to do?
