The angel eye upgrade is something I would like to do, but something I am not pressed about.

I just find it hilarious that EVERYONE has an angel eye upgrade for sale, but NOBODY has a DAYLIGHT picture, yet this is what EVERY member wants!! Even the members who have bought them and hype them... fail to post DAYLIGHT pictures... despite their own requests!!

Am I the only one?

Because its not that bright during the daytime...

I can gaurantee all angel eyes for 2004-2007 Bi Xenon headlights are dim compared to the LCI's or E90's.

ITs just that the angel eyes had crappy technology. The only sure fire one that is bright is Luis's Angel eye mod.. but that's 700 bucks.

What nigxdoof said ^^^

I've got the AIB v3 amber, which matches the brows, but they're only truly visible when it gets dark.

Here are some pictures of mine (late afternoon),

Like everyone said: It's just not that visible during the day, but at night? WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I love the way they look at night. They are way brighter. Besides I have DRL's so I am guessing even if they WERE brighter during the day they would look dim because of the DRL's on.

there has to be a cheaper way to get luis's method working he just charges alot because of the labor we nyc members should take a headlight and make a prototype and see how it goes and so on i believe parts is less than $300 if even that once you do one set it should be a walk in the park from there he's just not willing to post a DIY because he wants to cash in on it.

I do agree but only to certain degree. The process to upgrade the AE is very labor intensive, especially taking apart of the headlights. If it's easy as a walk in the park, then I'm sure someone has done it already in NYC to cash in on all the potential buyers in this area.

I'm afraid to turn mine on during the day for fear of being cajoled by those mocking fog light police.

it's a few screws, bake in oven, pry open and uhave sore hands afterwards. Then, get those angel eye rings and connect it to the wires with a resistor. Sealing it back is the tough part.
