ASA has been around for awhile. They used to sell a lot of cheap wheels for Japanese cars. I think Tirerack sells ASA.

Yup I think Tirerack does sell them. They are cheap and usually you get what you pay for. But from the experiences I heard with the wheels they hold up pretty well. And if something does happen to one wheel, it will be easy and cheap to simply replace it.

I believe ASA wheels is associated with BBS (definitely pricier and better quality wheels).

I have ASA for my winter set up and they seem fine. I have used them for three winters and they hold up well on our crappy roads. Haven't bent or cracked one yet however they are 17's so they have plenty of tire sidewall for protection. The finish has also held up very well considering they are covered in salt most of the time.

I have done a lot of business with tire rack and my experience has been that if they sell you a wheel that they recommend for your car, it will fit, the offsets will be right and it won't cause vibration problems (unlike some other cheap wheels you can buy). But I have never tried an ASA wheel in say a 20" application.
