Cutting? What kind of cutting Mike? That makes me nervous...
You have to cut the inside flap once you remove the old one. My shop didn't know this until he read the instructions. After cutting it, the kit bolts on pretty easily.

Thumbs up

Guys you can install your own M technic at your garage with help of some friends.
there are many people I sold painted kits (some from forums some from other sources)
they installed the painted kits easily at their homes. And never had problems.

only the front bumper takes time, the side skirts are plug and play and so the M rear bumper.

my 0.02

The sides and rear are very easy to put on. It took me about 3 hours. I could do it in half that time doing it again. Yes, you need to cut the inner fenders. I used some tin snips. I would think a professinal body shop could do the whole thing in 1.5 hours.

I debating same thing too

Thinking of buying $999 painted+shipped frontbumper from quad_m and see how much to install just the front-bumper..
Maybe since we are all in NJ/NY we should all get together for a self installation day!

Lets plan for a nice sunny day...whoever has the largest garage works. I am waiting for my M-tech front..from Tony....no rush though. Maybe some BBQ and photoshoot after that. Though I am not an auto tech...only a chef...but many heads are better than one, I guess. The BBQ will be good though!

Tony, Thanks for the clarification.....so a little trimming and sanding should do the job.
