#1
Hello ,
i want to know how the comfort on the bmw is , when i put 19s with springs (or not ),how would change the ride quality with springs and 19s?
Because here in germany there are few e60 wtih 19s and want to knom your experience with your ride.?
And how big the differnce is between riding on RFTs(17") and change to 19s ?

My Ride: No mods
actually the H&R sport springs are growing on me. the ride feels quiet on smooth surfaces, but on rough/messed up roads, you will feel the bumps. good luck on your decision!!

My Ride: 2004 5.30i Saphire Black on Auburn, Sports Pckg, Premium Pckg, Sound Pckg, HUD, Cold Weather Pckg, Heated Rear Seats, Electronic Rear Window Shade, Foldable Rear Seats with Ski Bag, European Reflectors, Active Steering, PDC, 19" AC Schnitzer Type II, Front: 245/35, Rear: 275/30 Toyo T1S, H&R Sports Springs, 35% Tinted Windows, B&B exhaust w/ custom straight pipe
A lot of my friends have gone with Eibach and I do think that it is a better ride and has better rebound than the H&R. I'm using the H&R right now and at first it was pretty tough cause the roads in Boston really suck. but on the highway its smooth and theres no difference. I would suggest you to go ahead and add springs cuz a couple cm does make a big difference in the appearance of your car. and I'm also assuming that the roads in Germany where you are at are smooth, so it shouldn't be a problem.

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
I also think changing to 19" will make more of a comfort impact than the springs (at least the Eibach), but when I did mine I change them both at the same time so can't really tell. The 19" really makes you feel the road more, but in Germany the road is so nice it's not as big of a concern. When driving on smooth autobahn that will give you a more solid feel with the lowered car on 19", and yes with 19", it's a must to lower it!
Good luck and show us some pictures once it's done =) No experience in 17" RFT but others can chime in. For 19" some of us are running the General UHP which is a decent tire at a great price, not sure if that's available in Germany, I think it's a subsidiary of Continental.

I would definitely lower the car. I have a non-sport suspension, and I cannot notice any difference with the H&R springs. I have the same comments that it is a little jumpy on local roads (not to a point that bothers me), but very smooth at higher speeds. The General Exclaim tires are really good for the 19" wheels.
If you get rid of the 17" RFTs in favor of 19" wheels with NRFTs, I think that you will actually find an improvement in comfort (this is only second-hand information reading about hundreds of comments on this issue).
Best,
