What are the different brands of Cold air intakes and how much are they

Checkout AFE CAI. It should run you less than $400.

yes they are and the most available ive seen around

bimmerperfromance or bavauto both have them for cheap, also on ebay theres a seller including the cleaning kit with the CAI from AFE.

You might gain .5 a hp and gain 1-2mpg. BMWs intakes are designed very well and many people don't bother upgrading it, unlike Japanese cars. Don't expect too much from an intake. If you want real performance, save up for some headers or something.

Too bad there isnt any CAI for the 545i. Unless someone has modded to fit.

i think mike may be was referring to this. something i found in the magazine about afe on a 330i.

dinan makes a CAI for the 545. other than that, i believe at one point vt was talking about fitting an AFE 550 CAI on his 545.
