hey guys with summer coming I'm really gonna try to push hard to get the 166 rims on my 530 I been looking at some peoples threads and they have pics of their cars "stance" on some new wheels I too would like to give my car a more aggressive stance when I get my rims but i dont know which route to take. On some threads i see people using lowering springs and on others i see people talking about coilovers . Although I would love to get that aggressive look I wouldn't want to sacrifice the comfort of my ride with stock suspension.

being that i know nothing about this topic please share with me your suggestions of the best way to go about this some of my concerns are stiffness and bumpy feeling and rubbing and touching i would love to use spacers as well. can you guys tell me does the ride get better with after market suspension and if so which ones and also does the ride get worse and what would you recommend me to stay away from.

A lot of people say coilovers ride better than stock. I have my doubts.

Anytime you go lower, you're sacrificing a range of travel. Naturally it's going to ride stiffer. Coilovers ride way better than a spring/shock combo though. Depends on what you're going for I guess. I bought my 5 because it rides really smooth and I drive a lot. I'm not giving up the ride for looks or handling.

i put ksports and OEM 166 on my e60 about 2 weeks ago..its def stiffer than the stock ride but not too jarring. Of course Motorcepts did the job, GOOD LOOKS. I had springs before on my e36 and that ride was HARSH on these brooklyn streets. The coils are adjustable so it is stiffer..but not HARSH... You will feel the road though but not in a bad way so much

No point dropping your car unless you do it properly, get coilovers... you wont regret it...
