Coilover Install

Hello everyone. Got a suspension question regarding fitment and installation of coilovers. I am looking to change out the factory sport suspension for the Bilstein PSS10 coilovers for my E60. The shop that I was talking to stated that they needed charge me a couple of hours of labor to modify the front shock/spring mount due to the PSS10 not fitting. For the guys that have installed them or are knowledgable about the install of the PSS10's is this accurate? I know that the Bilstein website states direct bolt on but I'm looking for confirmation. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would take it to another shop if I were you. Coilovers typically if you get the one that's made for your car shouldn't have to modify anything on your car.

Hey b00sted how's it going. Yeah after looking up some more info about the pss10's it looks like it should be a direct bolt on. I'll probably ask another shop near me to see what they say.

I'm good man, if I were you I'd take it some to a place where they have done E60's coilover installs before or a bmw reputable shop.

Isn't SonicMS in your area? I know they have done TONS of E60 work before.

SonicMS is in Mountain View 13min drive from where I work. But "Booyaazaa" is out of San Ramon, close to 1hr for him. Yes I'm sure they have done plenty of E60's. That would be a good option for him.

Take it to another shop...its a direct fit. Talk to SonicMS up there and tell Darwin I sent you. They do a good job. It might be an hour drive but let them do it right :)

Exactly, I would rather drive an hour and have the job done right, than stay local and have them halfass the install. Trinity isn't "next door" to me, but I keep going there because Joe and Weezy don't halfass anything, they always do things right.
