coding for welcome light

Hi mine is a pre lci e60 and i wonder if coding is able to enable welcome light meaning when unlocking car, AE will light up and vice versa when locking without changing to lci headlight. Thanks in advance

If your car has the new Light Module (LM2), you can do it. Open the driver's side door, and look at the sticker on the right side that shows the manufacturer date. If it's late 2006 (after October, if I recall correctly), you can't do it.

Otherwise, you can't as of now.

You can do it via some custom wiring though.

If he's lucky, even September builds have LM2.

so if it's late 2006, then it cannot be coded; but then otherwise, can't as of now meaning before late 2006, can't do it either? I'm a bit confused. Would like to know if this can be done to my 11/2005 built E60.

Sorry if my wording was confusing..

I meant to say:

If it's late 2006 or newer (September - onwards [thanks Simon]), then you can code it.

Otherwise (built earlier than Sept 2006), then you can't.

if yours is 2005, then that would be a no.

mine is late 2005 with push start so i guess its a no unless i change to LM2 right? Thanks very much for the advice...

yeah i read it..what i mean was mine is late 2005 make so unless ichange to LM2, if not i cannot do the coding and thanks bro for the advice given...
