i discover something 
.or maybe u guys know already,,
BUT THIS MAKE ME VERRY HAPPY ..and it convince me 98% to purchase the CIC RETROFIT+COMBOX+ 6NR ,ETC
I GOT A loaner 2013 528 xi with nav
the dvd sloat plays dvd format videos_TS
BUT THE BEST DISCOVERY IS/////,,,,,ON THE CENTER CONSOLE THERE IS usb port and aux in
i connect 500GB hard drive...AND IT PLAY ALL THE VIDEO FILES FROM IT(most of them .avi/xvid/mp4))
THE USB AND THE DVD THEY wore playing while the car is on "P" ,,,
WHEN U DRIVE i get a message..: for your protection u cant play video while u drive
ANYHOW...the only question ..can both playbacks FROM USB IN CENTER CONSOLE AND dvd slot can be coded to play while u drive?

159 dollars and takes about 3 minutes to do.
Im no expert to this becuase I have not yet done it myself, but I have read all success stories about the BMW site
Perhaps someone else will chime in.. But check it out.

Thx u for the above link.
But when i will do the cic i will buy it from patrick and he will sent it to me already enable for the dvd in motion( as the website u provide say also for the;DVD) ,
)
The question is : IF the usb playback from the center console can be enable to play the videos while u drive(is enable on "P" )( i know is not safe, but i just it to have it enable while driving)
So, anyonee that have the dvd in motion enable can try to play a video from usb and see of it plays in motion?

Unfortunately, CIC does NOT support video playback from USB (HU or Combox), only real DVDs. Your loaner was apparently equipped with a NBT head unit. Yes, CIC can be coded to video in moution.

You can, just get the interface module instead and spend like a quarter of the cost of doing CIC.
I did an install for a friend about two months ago. He bought a $40-50 multimedia reader that plays anything he throws at it via USB. It even has an eSATA port, so you can plug in that large capacity hard drive all you want.
