Im 95% through my CIC upgrade & so far most of it has been great.
Much support from Patryk & his team, but I have a problem that coding hasnt fixed:

Audio/Video Sync: The audio works great, from radio & / or ipod. The problem arises when playing video from the ipod/phone. The video plays on the screen nicely, but it is 1 second ahead of the audio. This gets annoying quick.

I pulled out the CIC today & checked all connections. Did the same on the combox. Nothing out of normal & no help when complete.

The signal is arriving as both audio & video are playing, but they are out of phase/sync.
When played natively on my iphone directly, the audio & video is in sync.
Would seem to be a hardware / processing problem but I cant detect it.

Any ideas or help?

In the combox trc you'll find:
USB1_IPOD_AUDIO
digital
USB2_IPOD_AUDIO
digital

Change it to:
USB1_IPOD_AUDIO
digital
USB2_IPOD_AUDIO
analog

My adept Googling says that the Combox TRC is one of the files that can be accessed for coding...
I assume I take this info back to Patryk & team for help?

Or is there an easy way for me to knock this out on my own? (think of me as an educated & willing newb).

Thanks much Miranda

Bruce & Others:

If we make this change, which output will be digital & which will be analog.
Im guessing it means the 6NR goes analog (if thats USB2)? Where is USB1 that remains digital?
Id very much like to keep all my iPod/phone music digital.

In talking with Patryk he said this was a limitation of the way BMW set it up, which is really lame of BMW.
With all video going from DVD to digital files now, it would suck if BMW didnt have a proper way to support this.

Would a simple delay on the video side be possible, something that only addresses (is inline with) 6NR video, so we can hack it back to being in sync?

Use 6FL for the Audio and 6NR for the Video and Audio set to analogue.
