Default CIC navigation retrofit questions

Im loking to do the CIC navigation retrofit on my car but have a few questions. Is their any difference between the US version and the one sold in other countires? What should I look out for and will the one in the link I provided work? I know im going to need other parts thanks in advance.

That is good question as I am thinking to do it in near future but want just to add a question. There are long threads about this upgrade and from reading some of it seams that most involving is coding. As this upgrade is not cheep and when the time comes to sell the car is it possible to remove CIC and put back the old unit without reprogramming it again?

I would (did) get a CIC retrofit kit from member Patrys (info@bimmer-tech.net). His kit comes with everything complete. He will also remotely code your car to make everything work properly.

Here's my thread when I did mine:

And here's the ultimate CIC retrofit log from member nelson29:

the kit member patrys sells is 3000+ thats why I was wondering if this kit fit. Its a cheaper route and I could souerce the missing parts pretty cheap.

It will fit but you also have to purchase one trim panel and one ac trim panel then find someone to code. You would probably do better if you can find someone near you or at least in the US that can code it for you. The dealer most likely will not do this. I think Nelson or dbond might be able to help you on this.

Plenty of coders but I don't know about coding the CIC Nav, getting updated maps, etc...
