If such a deal exists, your local BMW CCA Chapter members would know. If not a member, join BMW CCA. Cost is $40. There are other benefits.BMWCCA Services

If I remeber correctly, there was a post from someone in So Cal that had found a company that "chromed" the stock wheels. You may want to do a search on the board for chrome wheels.

If you can find the your rims, this company will actually send you the chromed rims first. After you have installed your new rims you send back your old rims. The advantage to doing it this way is that you don't have to wait the week or so without tires while they are chroming them:

I'm surprised the dealer won't offer you a chrome wheel upgrade as well. They might want a couple of hundred dollars more, but if you buy them through the dealer they should warranty them with the rest of the car. It's not likely that you will have any problems, but why risk having an issue with wheels that were not installed by your dealer to save a couple hundred bucks. If your dealer simply does not offer the chrome option, they are not much of a dealer...

I've heard people say that they paid between $600 and $1,000 at their dealer. I paid $900 for mine and I'm glad it was done when I picked up the car.
