I like the idea of the ACS tail pipe, but unfortuntately this involves cutting the original exhaust, which is a no-go for those (like myself) running a leased company car.
Tommy wrote in another post that the dimensions of the 520d tail pipe are:
width: 11.0 cm
height: 6.8 cm
I found a product at D&W which could fit. I sent them messages asking about the product, but unfortunately never received an answer. Its not exactly the best looking accessory in the world, but possibly worth a try.
It states that is is 12.0cm wide and 7.0cm high. The conecting section is capable of up to 6.2cm.
By looking at the product, I am a little unsure what that gauze is all about. Anyone seen something like this before and/or know what it would do to the performance/health of the car? Would I need to cut that centre section out?
Its only EUR45,- so its not the end of the world if it is no good and gets thrown away, but I do not want to try mounting something that will end up flying off or damaging the performance of the car.
Can anyone advise if this product could be suitable, or better keep away from it??

I appreciate this isn't exactly the most glamorous mod
but I would still really appreciate some TECHNICAL advise... is this product going to strangle my cars exhaust / engine? (see product in picture above)There's a lot of 520d owners out there looking for an easy non-damaging bolt on solution... Please help - thanks!

My Ride: 520D 2006 - Media Package, M-tec Kit, Lighting package, extended lights, Leather seats, Auto High beam. Carbon Black, with black leather.
Knowing what i know about cars (which is very little, and mainly overheard) The backend pressure will increase - damage to partial filter & engine?
I think it could work better, if the whole inside was cut out.

Actually that picture is very hard to understand. I can't tell if the porous plate covers the mouth or lines the inside tube. Maybe buy it from a dealer that will take a return.
