I had the black ones on my SS M5 and ended up removing them. It just looked like big, flared nostrils to me. I think if I had a black or dark blue ride, I'd have kept them.

I have the same grills and really like the look. I was undecided at first, but the matte black definitely make the car look mean.

Bought matte black grilles from modbargains.com. My car is titanium silver. Me likey much better. I hated that chrome. Remove about 20-30 torx screws, remove radiator covers, remove grills easy with no scuffed knuckles. 30 minutes tops.
