Choosing rims for: 530i vs 535i
#11
Yes that offset is WAY to high even for the rear unless you have 9.5-10 inch wheels back there. With 8.5 inch wheels a 15-20 is the offset you want for the fronts. With a 9.5 or higher wheel than 18-25 is the offset you want. The offset of 35 is for an e90 or xi e60

I want to order Breyton Race GTS rims for my 2008 530i
TireRack only has a 535i model.
Do you think there is any difference between 530i and 535i ?
Here's the wheel info from their site (just in case)
18"
Offset: +35mm
Backspacing: 6.06"
Bolt Pattern: 5-120
Rec. Tire Size:245/40-18
Weight: 22.0lbs.

Hi all,
Can some experts here please help, this is so confusing.
I am about to purchase a set of Breyton GTS for my non-facelift 530i, tyre shop fella recommends:
Fronts 19" x 8.5" (ET 30) therefore to use 15mm spacers to bring offset to ET 15
Rears 19" x 9.5" (ET 35) therefore to use 15mm spacers to bring offset to ET 20
Is this the correct offset set-up?
Should I use 20mm spacers for the rear to bring the rear offset to ET 15 also?
Appreciate your advice. Thanks!

a 20mm will place added pressure on the hubs. I wouldnt go more than 15mm. Also make sure to ask tire rack guy the hub diameter too, also make sure the spacers are hub centric (after getting the hub diameter) and lastly you'll need longer wheel bolts!
