just removed my charcoal filter and the engine feels like it recovered from a flu, it feels like the gear shifts are much smoother especially from 1 to 2 and at slower speeds seems to hold in 2 better without slamming into 1. Has anyone else noticed this or is it a placebo effect ?

Just ordered my sprint booster , cant wait to get it in. I've searched for a diagram showing which way to put it in as in 'plug to plug' kinda illustration, does anyone have something like that ?

Sounds like something I need to do. Any issues regarding emissions and all that?

Nope, the filter is in place to stop a small amount of fumes which escape back out through the air intake after the car is turned off which has nothing to do with the emissions from the exhaust when the car is running.

It's a waste of time. The people removing this filter (it goes for K& N filters also) are dreeming if they think there is any difference. Do a search, plenty of info on the subject.

How do you know that you are not subconsciously stepping on the gas pedal a little harder??? With all due respect, it's all in the head. A K&N filter supposedly adds +/- 3 hp. You really think that is noticeable?
