Does anyone has a diagram or instruction on how to replace the accelerate, brake and dead pedals on an automatic car? I've seen members in this forum changed theirs with ACS aftermarket pedals and they looks very nice. I wonder if that's an easy job and if there's any need to do some drilling on the car.

From a safety point of view, are you sure that you wish to introduce metallic surfaces down there?

You refere to the fact that it might slip when wet or what?

That's what Ray meant. It's very slippery when wet and very dangerous. I don't recommend it. For dead pedal is OK, but not for brake and gas pedals. Please think about your loved ones and do them a favor: Don't do it.

The ACS pedals has rubber strips on them so that your foot won't be slipped from it when it's wet.

Installation guide comes with the ACS package. It's pretty easy, probably an 1-1.5 hour job. There is a minor bit of drilling involved.

I think the BMWCCA archives have a pdf file of the install for the E39. I'll see if I can locate it for you.

Doesn't have to be wet, just be wearing leather-soled shoes. But then, it is an automatic, so it's not like there's a lot of repetitive clutching going on down there.
