hello every1 1st time posting 1st530i n i wanna change a few things one of them being the cars interior lighting (that orange glow all over the place).

if someone has done it either by yourself(plz let me know how) or if taken to a shop(how much was it)

I have been searching for this same thing. Only thing I found was people coloring the housing lens.

I don't think anyone has done it. You would pretty much be ripping everything apart to get to some tiny LEDs. Then you would have to de-solder all of them and put everything back together. I can upload a pic of the lLEDs behind the steering wheel buttons if you like.

I can't remember the topic now this was discussed awhile ago and somebody said it might have been over a hundred LEDs. I think it might have been member john@motorcepts. Search his post and you might see if you want a better number. Also this orange glow is BMW's signature, or so I'm told.

local car mod guys i met during car meet said theyll take me to some shops that have bmw certified technicians and have experience in interior lighting ill take pics of prices and process if i do end up getting it done

update: yes it can b done and the cheapest i found with friend discount was $800 but i would need to wait till hes done with current projects which might take him 2 weeks

You can do the instrument cluster LED mod. That should alleviate it a significant amount.

i am going to go thru with the color change how ever since balbs was cool enought to leave a link i check the guy n he made it seem easy(to a point) im going to try to do it myself itll take a while n ill post pics if it works out n some 1 else wants to try ill post it here
