Anyone in NoVA get tinting for their BMW? I'm considering ceramic tinting to reduce heat but I don't want the tint to affect cell phone or other radio signals. I can't seem to find a local dealer that does ceramic tinting.

I used to work in McLean, VA last year and got mine done by LA tint in Sterling, VA. They're a Formula One dealer. I wanted to do Huper Optik but the nearest dealer was too far away.

Ah, I just re-read your request. You're looking for a Huper Optik dealer, duh! I have got to read better. Anyway, the only one I found was in Waldorf, MD - Too Intense Windows. They're 40 miles from McLean, so I passed on Huper Optik and chose Formula One.

Imola, you considering shades and tint? Also try the National Chapter BMWCCA site.

Thanks. Yeah... I have shades now on my E39 and they're great for blocking light but they do nothing for heat. I don't think I want a dark tint but if I can cut down on the heat a little I'll be happy. I'm not 100% set on it yet. I might try LA Tint and see what they have. I know I don't want a metalic tint so the ceramic tint seems like a good option. I might give the NCC site.

Let me know what you end up doing as I am in same boat with new 550. Think light tint (whatever actually is legal in VA) would look great with my Monaco Blue and Beige (if ever shows up!). I know NAB does tint just not the kind you are looking for www.nabinternational.com. Call your dealer, they probably have some recommendations for vendors.
