2004 530i, just burned a bunch of AUDIO cds on CD-R for my CD changer.
They aren't playing. Why would that be??? It should play, shouldn't it? I used itunes and made sure that my CD burning preferences were for audio, which means it should be recognized by any CD player...

Same here. I guess even the Logic7 stereo doesn't play mp3 CDs. And here I thought BMW was technologically forward. Unless there is something I'm doing wrong.

Hi
Sorry , I don't quiet understand your problem , but I'll try to answer never the lees
Is the CD's you have made ( burned ) is it mp3 musicfiles ?.
The M-ASK ( ordenery radio ) and CCC ( Navigation Prof.) can play CD's with mp3 musicfiles if coded herefor , but NOT the OEM CD-Changer !!! , if you want CD-Chnager to play CD's with mp3 , you will either have to change it to one from a E70 ( directly "plug & play" , and fits the CD-Changer bracket in the glovecompartment nerarly 100% ),
Or you can purchase one from a E9x , after 05/2006 , and mount it in the trunk , easy if you already have Bluetooth tlf. or TV-modul , SAT-radio etc. mounted, weil then you already have the MUST-Bus fiber optic cable terminal in the trunk ( over left rearwheel ).
It is NOT possible to code the OEM E60-E61-E63 & E64 CD-Changer to mp3 function , sorry.
Hope this clarifyes it a bit , or have I fully misunderstod your problems

First of all use Nero 9, second of all u burnt a bunch of them ? you mean like 30 or 40 or even 100 songs or something
. If you can not get a cracked version of the Nero 9, then go to Bestbuy, buy a version of it. Nero will burn CDs with high quality, and it will let you know how many song will fit in one CD, plus i will tell u either done perfectly or fail while burning. Another word, iTune burner sucks

just to clarify, i'm trying to play just regular(non-mp3) discs. my recorded discs work in the cd player on the dash, but not in the changer.
i usually just use whatever burning program is on my computer.
and i try to use discs that say "for audio".
heck, i've had old discs that played in my old old(97) m3, but not in my e60's changer.
nero is an expensive program to just hope it works.
