Just for the heck of it, I bought it from ebay. Comes with all the cables, interface etc etc.... Supposly bmw uses the same or similar software to diagnose. 6.5 only supports upto 2005s I believe. Just wondering, anyone with experiance using these?

Carsoft is pretty crap. I have INPA just never got round to using it.
Yes that is a cracking website. You need to be ready to use the search function though. Loads of useful info on there.

For simple diagnostics, carsoft actually works really well! I think for what its worth, its good for clearing and reading faults Inpa would be nice, since you could do a hell of a lot more, but much more complex.

As you know, I'm having trouble connecting the car to the laptop. I was trying OBD2 socket, but I begin to think I need to connect through 20pin cable.
