Came in a nice little BMW box too...I normally hate key rings, but I like this. It's pretty cool and small. I think I got a really good deal too...6 bucks shipped off of ebay. I normally end up getting screwed on ebay or just lose. Anyone know how to paint it matte black?

Regular paint won't "stick" to the chromed metal or will be chipped / worn off quickly. I suppose someone could do a powder coat - that might be more durable. I had one like it for my Z3 but the Z was pointy and kept poking holes in my pants pockets

I think 90% of the members on the board have this

I had the same one too, along with everyone at the SoFla BMW meet.

If you're dead set on making yours matte black, call up a local chrome plater and see how much he'd charge for this small item. Even suggest to him that you're not in a hurry and the next time he does black or gunmetal grey or whatever chrome color, see if he can toss in your keyring.
