Trying to do my first mod today. Open the air intake box and trying to remove the Charcoal Filter, but i just can't remove it. It looks like BMW use glue and seal it with the intake cover. (My car is a 2006 550i) Help!! someone have that situation too?

I think ofter 06 they are glued in. Just pull a little harder, it will break off..thats what mine did.

Mine was a little tough to get out also. Ran a knife blade down the crack between the housing and filter to break it loose.

i take it the charcoal filter is the thing that looks like a second air filter that says "do not remove".

Couldn't notice any difference. Not worth the effort. The MAP and O2 sensors will adjust the fuel air mixture anyway.
