Can someone be kind enough to post a picture of the rear wheels without spacer for the M167 M5 offset. I have a set of M167 w/ M5 offset, however, I am not sure whether I should run a spacer. I would like to stay away from the spacer as much as possible. Are the rear wheels being pushed in alot compare to M6 offset? Is it really ugly w/o spacer?

Please kindly post a picture of the rear wheels w/o spacer. Thanks

You can go with a 10mm in the rear....makes a difference.

Since the 166's have the same offset for the M5 as your M5 167's, here are a few of my old M5 (hard to believe this is C's same car):

No spacers:

With 10mm rear spacers:

since rear offset is ET28, 12mm would work fine as well bringing it to ET16.

The M5 off set is ET28 (28mm) and the M6 is ET16 (16mm). So thats 12mm difference towards the arch. I had the M5 off set on my previous two E60s, however they were company cars so I could not fit spacers. I thought it was fine at the time, however IMHO it does look better with spacers. I HAD to use spacers on my current E61, which were formally tested and approved by T?V, so with that experience and confidence in spacers, I would now use 10/12/15mm spacers with an M5 rim to get it sitting just right. (Note, on my E61 I use H&R spacers as these were recommended by BMW, i.e. what they use if customers request 19" stagger set-ups on the E61.)

Here's a pic of M5 rims (ET28) on an E60 WITHOUT spacers; my previous E60 m-sport (incl. m-sport suspension):

You can see on the second picture that they do not sit as well as the front rims. As Nerweezy wrote, 12mm would sort that.
