Congrats!
That's a great upgrade. I had an LCI E60 and loved those direct button enhancements. Enjoy![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
ps. I need to get my pre-9/2005 M5 Mirrors fitted to my (new for me) post-9/2005 E60. I think I may need to head over to you on the mainland some time very soon -- thats a mod well beyond my modding abilities! I'll send you a PM/ give you a call in the new year to work something out

Hi Guy's
Thanks for the nice words
, I don't think of my self as a genius
, more as a very stubborn person , that not take a no for an answer ( when it comes to car's and car mods ).
I have still the Night Vision "project" , it's on a hold at the moment ( to cold outside ) + I have to find a way around the coding of the certificate for this option, but give time , then the solution will come ( I hope )

Very cool mod, and much respect to you for persisting till you got it done!
I'd love to have those buttons myself, and the better looking climate controls too. Especially like how you can touch them and see what each button does on the screen before actually pushing it.

My Ride: 2006 M5 w/ all options

Hi Ben,
Myself and a couple of other board members are in the process of swapping in the CIC and along with that, the LCI climate control.
We have found that the LCI climate control does not function correctly however. Apparently a couple of wires needs to be swapped in the connectors.
The LCI unit appears to be working when powered up, but when trying to cool, the A/C compressor never comes on. The other issue is that the engine cooling fan comes on at full blast and stays that way until the engine is turned off. I have an 2006 M5, it might be different for other models. I know Nelson was getting a strange sound from the engine area when he tried.
Do you happen to know which ones being that you have made the swap?
Pre and Post LCI schematics of the climate control connectors would be fantastic!
Thanks
Peter

Hello again. The issue more specifically appears to be with Pin 21 of the large blue connector. From what I can tell, the part going to the chassis should be grounded, but I'm not sure what to do with the end that goes into the LCI controller. Leave is floating?
Thanks!
Thanks!
