UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!! UPDATE!!!!

Thanks to the e60 forum members that advised me to use dental floss!!!! I did not need to fishing line although it was good to know if the dental floss did not work, but it did and took one container or dental floss, and doubling it. Kevin the body shop owner said he had NEVER used dental floss before, but it worked without making any scratches! (He said his method he used did cause some scratches. He now adopted this BMW e60 forum members/owners dental floss method for all his parts like spoilers that he has to reposition from time to time).

Once again thanks!!!

Can a NEW M5 rear spoiler be...taken off and placed in a different spot closer to the edge of the deck lid, once it has been taped down to my rear deck lid? If so how hard is it, and can I reuse the new M5 spoiler, and just replace the two sided taped, or do I have to buy another new e60 rear M5 spoiler and have it repainted again?

If I can remove it what tools to you recommend for this without damaging my spoiler or paint of my deck lid?

Thanks in Advance!!

use dental floss to take the spoiler out, remove old double sided tape, put new tapes, install your desired location and you are done

correct, but use a hairdryer first to warm and soften up the glue and whole process.

I would try a crowbar first. It would give you much more leverage than the dental floss.

Hey snkpkp,

SO dental floss works well for this? Is it strong enough? If so, thanks a million, I got some hope left, I would hate to spend money again on this spoiler project!!! (LOL)

well your spoiler IS reusable after you take it off, but taking it off without hurting the paint and the spoiler is pretty hard task, the thing is I have a very good handy man who does everything for me, so when he re adjusted mine he did use dental floss among other things I may NOT know, I learnt from the forum about the dental floss process and I do believe as andy said using the hair dryer also before the floss or fishing line, either ways if you do it right you will just need new sets of double sided tapes and thats it.....
