Hello,
I have managed to obtain a copy of the options list for my car when it was purchased. It turns it has ''CD Prep'' (I think it was code 6954 or something similar) and having had a quick look in the glove box, behind the cover, it looks like I have some sort of CDC compartment.
The dealer said the CD Prep referred to CDC prep, so I take it I am able to install a Dension? If so, which Dension would I need - is it just the Dension 500? Will I also be able to install the bluetooth BTA1500? Or do I need some other modules/coding?
My car is an October 2006 build, no sat nav, basic radio system with one slot CD, no mp3.
I have seen someone selling there Dension 500 - but it comes with no wires or cables. He is selling it as he purchased it for is 7 series but cannot fit it due to the logic 7 system so I take it this Dension should be compatible with my car (please correct me if I am wrong or if there is anything I can ask him to check compatibility). If it is compatible, which wires/cables would I need for the fitting?
Finally, once it is installed do I just need to get the dealer to code the car with IPod software or MP3 as well?
Any answers would be appreciated, I have tried searching the various Dension topics but can't find anything/anyone who has installed it on a car similar to mines.
Thanks
Jas
