Can I assume I have reflector headlights?

I asked this as i was really excited about doing the job today and the car wasn't outside to go have a look. I realise how easy it is to determine when I saw the car again.
The car has 6000k hids in it now, they are reflector. I was worried about beam pattern and dazzling people. I've driven on opposite side of my girlfriend tonight 5 or 6 times on a dual carriageway with a roundabout at each end. The dual carriageway goes up and down and isn't lit. I don't see a problem when she's on the right or the left, when she's going up or down a hill etc. Beam spread seems okay as well, lights up the road quite well.
