can i add a subwoofer

You can upgrade your complete speaker system and add amplifiers and sub-woofers if you so wish to. It all depends on how deep your pockets are. The original speakers are lousy.
I wasn't able to do so because mine comes with the L7.

Experienced ICE installers will install a power capacitor so that you will not drain your battery.
A capacitor won't stop your battery from getting drained... only an alternator with more output current than your car draws can do this. Even still, if you want aftermarket audio you should replace the stock battery with a deep cycle battery like the Optima YellowTop. You need a deep cycle because those batteries are designed to handle the stress of being drained repeatedly.
A capacitor is designed to give better performance to the audio gear, particularly subwoofers.... but it also helps the car's electronics... (ie helps prevent headights from dimming when bass hits) A capaictor is basically just a battery, but it is able to deliver all of its charge in one instant... and then recharge quickly. So when your power amps require a quick burst of higher current, they draw it from the capacitors.
But the capacitors must get charged, just like a battery. That charge comes from your alternator. If your alternator is not large enough to handle the increased load, then you will start to see problems because there won't be enough current to supply all the various car electronics, battery, capacitor(s), A/C, etc...
But trust me... no matter how much capacitance you have, you can still drain your battery. I had 15 farads of capacitance in my last car, and could still drain an Optima YellowTop battery if I wasn't careful. I had no room to upgrade the stock alternator in my old Lexus.... the engine compartment was so cramped for space.
