As in my previous posts i asked you guys about cracked wheels and its reliability. yesterday when the tyre fitter came over to fit tyres on my new wheels oem 19" 172(bought used off ebay) while balancing the both front wheels he broke the news that both wheels are slightly buckled (is it normai?) and that he ll try to balance them which he did after sticking over 200grams of weights on each wheel. so my question is that are they gonna be ok or do i have to take them for a repair . and after the repair are they gonna be perfect or close to it . thanks

You need to take the wheels to a wheel refinisher to get them straightened and the bends removed. In the NYC area where I live, the going rate is $125.

I have fixed many a wheel this way. And it works. Attempting to balance out a bend is not the way to go.

OEM Style 172 wheels are not impervious to bending. Two of mine bent within the first 7 months of use (thanks to a giant pothole on the FDR Drive -- the killer of many of my wheels over the years).

I'm a bit curious why you again are asking for advice, when you initially disregarded the suggestions of numerous forum members not to buy the wheels in the first place. 200 grams? Woah!

I never disregarded any advise ,i had already bid for those wheels and i only problem the seller told me of was just one cracked rim which he had already sorted out and for that i had bought an other single wheel. I only found out when the tyre fitter came. but i know i was just too excited to get those wheels that i didnt ask about any potential problem comes with oem wheels.

Potential problems can come with any used wheels,OEM or not. With hindsight it may have been better to go for a set of aftermarket (replica) wheels/tyres,at least you would have some guarantee if any problems arose.
