Hello, here's the picture's of Bruce's M5 mirror's fitted and fully working just as Bruce had promised, can't realise I got so lucky with the colour of the mirror's as they were a exact colour match, they have all function's,heated,autofold(lock/unlock) with key, puddle light's,autodip and autodim(both to code in)and it was a plug and play install.

Nice. They look awesome.

I love the autofolding feature, wish they would have put it on US spec E60s besides the M5.

Looks great.

just a question: how did bruce do the conversation? does this conversation also work for LCI cars? ie. pre/09 2005 mirrors <-> post/09 2005 mirrors <-> lci mirrors?

thanks for your inputs,

greetings

rumman, who took apart a 24 hour old car just to fit post 09 mirrors on a LCI car...

You can do it.. its just a pain in the ass to do the wiring but it is doable and worth every penny. God I miss my mirrors.

Hiya, yes Bruce did the conversion as the mirror's were a single 3pin connector my car is a July 2005 build so needed to have the mirror's wired from scratch,Bruce spent 16hr's doing the re-wiring job and everything worked perfectly!

Oh and everything is completely reversible. I didn't cut any wires or anything inside the mirror and used all OEM BMW plugs and connectors. So if ever there was a need to go back to a post-Sep 2005 mirror it can be done without a problem - except you need to find a normal mirror with all functions on it. The hardest part in the entire project was finding all the OEM connectors required for this especially that Hirschmann connector PN 805-187 required for the mirror. The rest of the connectors are made by Tyco and bought from a BMW dealer.

The best thing about the mirror is that is away from any other body panel and so it doesn't matter if the mirror is a perfect match or not. The Space Grey mirrors almost matched my Tit Grey II as well. Besides the mirrors have a non matching cover at the bottom anyway. Sanj your car looks absolutely fab. I'm glad you picked it up, and Oh thank you for the joy you gave me tinkering with these mirrors, I learnt so much while doing the conversion.

GOD do I miss my mirrors now!!

Thank's once again Bruce for taking the time to sort out everything,i'm so glad I managed to get them and they were worth every penny,I almost bought some non folding one's from another member but i'm glad I did'nt!These are a 100% colour match for my car so i'm pretty sure the are a silver grey.
