That's the only difference and they bumped it a little fraction over the V2.0.
the 2.1 is now just as bright as the ICE V3, just not the same price at retail.

The brightest most distinctive non-plug and play solution remains the Orion V2. It's now going to be introduced in Multi-color mode

I wish someone would come up with a solution that is visible in the daylight for the non-lci cars that does not involve cutting open the headlights.

I'm not that happy with the MTEC v2.1. It's only bright at dusk or when the sun is down. It seems that the 2.1's LED color is an exact match to the plastic ring that it doesn't really make the ring pop out. I think that during the day, the OEM yellow makes the ring pop out more.
At night the MTEC's are bright, but with the headlights on, it sort of cancels the effect of the AE. If the color of the MTEC was a little more blue and not match the ring color more, maybe it would pop more during the day time.
